The OES visited the Sullivant Land Office on August 25, 2002. Located just behind the Harrison House, this building was where Lucas Sullivant sold and managed land in Columbus and Franklinton. This little brick building sat for a long time on Gay Street in Columbus but was moved to its present location in 1986 to avoid demolition. The building is currently owned by the City of Columbus and leased to the Franklinton Genealogical Society. The office has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973 and seemed well preserved on our visit.

The dedication plaque listed the donors and the year the building was moved to its present location.
