08/09/2013: Thanks to Bob and Sandy Brinkman for sharing their encounter with a white, partially transparent figure while driving along Mendon Road. Their sighting occurred about 700 feet north of Tomlinson Cemetery around 1:00 PM. It is not too often that we receive sightings during daylight hours, but this story shows that the paranormal can be experienced at any time of day.
On Monday, August 5th, at around 1:00 p.m., my wife and I were heading south on Mendon Road. From the wooded section on the east side of the road (approximately 700 ft north of Tomlinson Cemetery and the Van Wert / Mercer County Line) I saw out of the side of my eye a white and partially transparent figure shoot quickly out of the woods. I immediately hit the brakes and thought to myself that there was no way I will avoid hitting whatever it was, when it immediately disappeared. Passing the spot in the woods just a second later, we saw no evidence of what we had seen. My wife also saw the figure out of the side of her eye. She thought it was human in form and she gasped out loud the same time that I had hit the brakes. We were both silent for a while wondering what we had just seen. We came to the conclusion that there was no way that we could logically explain what we had seen.
