The Ohio Exploration Society conducted multiple paranormal investigations at the Factory of Terror, formerly the Hercules Engine Factory, in Canton, Ohio. The dates of the investigations were September 30, 2005; October 24, 2005; and October 29, 2005. The start and end times varied for each date.
General Information
This series of paranormal investigations was conducted as a partnership between the Ohio Exploration Society, Q92 Radio and Cleveland’s Psychic Sonya. Formerly known as the Hercules Engine Factory, the Factory of Terror is known to have several ghosts. Visitors and workers have been grabbed or pushed in the stairwell that led to what used to be an Army training facility during the World Wars. Strange, smoky figures have been seen in those same buildings. Part of the factory was built in 1845. The basement in this section is frequented by orbs of energy and a strange haze that travels through the rooms. Voices are often heard when no one else is around and cold spots move around the factory.

Paranormal / Unusual Activity
During the all-night investigation on October 29, Robinson was leading a group of Q92 listeners through an office area when a chair was suddenly pushed about three feet across the room. Several of the listeners screamed, stating they had seen the chair move by itself. Robinson examined the chair to ensure no strings were attached and could find no explanation as to how the chair could have moved without assistance. The team investigated in the area for a while longer, but nothing else of paranormal significance occurred.
While touring an old maintenance area, Stilwell recorded electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) that loudly stated, “BANG,” and then whispered, “you’re dead.” Just days earlier, Stilwell had been seemingly punched in the stomach by something unseen during an investigation at the Warehouse On The Canal and recorded an EVP that contained explicit language. There were areas of high electromagnetic fields in various sections of the factory, including the basement area where energy orbs and a strange haze have been reported. The OES also documented several cold spots through the use of thermocouple thermometers.
